It is very important to eat the right way when implementing a diet program. This is the difference between long term weight loss achievement and failure. If you are worried about missing out on protein, you can add tofu or other nutritional supplements such as protein powder to the smoothie.

3. Fiber

Be sure to use the entire fruits and vegetables when making your smoothie because you will be consuming the pulp of the fruit or the vegetable which is an excellent source of fiber for your body.

Making sure that you consume fiber in your diet is important since fiber makes you feel full in addition to helping with the digestion process and supporting the elimination of the body's waste.

By making smoothies using the entire fruits and vegetables, this ensures that you eat more fiber than you normally would if you were to eat the fruit or vegetable by itself since you may end up discarding much of the fiber rich parts of the fruits and vegetables.

4. Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as this helps you kick start the body's metabolism. Do not skip this meal if you want to ensure success with your diet program. Breakfast smoothies which I make every morning, are a great way to make sure that you implement this "no skipping breakfast" rule. Breakfast smoothies work even if you are in a hurry. It usually takes me less than two minutes to prepare this and hit the road!

5. Variety of Smoothies

Because variety is very important in any diet program, incorporating smoothies into the program serves this purpose since there are many varieties of smoothies you can make using a diverse amount of ingredients. Being able to enjoy a variety of flavors is key to staying satisfied and committed to the program.

Some people will be tempted by restaurants and convenience food, especially at the end of a stressful day. A good way of avoiding this to purchase some medium sized freezer tubs. This means you can store portions of healthy food throughout the week, rather than having the stress of having to cook after a long day. The good thing about this is you know what is in your dinner, as you made it!

As well as fat burning foods, there are numerous ways you can add to your healthy lifestyle. While a diet is important, there are a lot of little things you can do to make yourself in better shape. For example, standing up and moving around while answering the phone burns up more calories than sitting down and answering. If you are driving to buy your wholemeal health foods, it is kind of missing the point!

And while you're not going to learn ALL of the fat burning soup recipes that Asian women use to get skinny (even after just having a baby) from just a single article online, you CAN pick up some great tips that will get you started:

1. Follow my fat burning soup ingredient list closely - Stick to this list of major items, don't improvise as these are all critical for your metabolic rate to be improved:

- 1 to 2 x Cans of Red Tomatoes
- 2 x Green Peppers
- 1 x Head of Cabbage
- 1 x Teaspoon Each of Rosemary, Parsley, Tarragon and Sage
- 3 x Cloves of Garlic (normal size, chopped)
- 1 x Large Red Onion
- 2 x Ounces of Standard Shitake Mushrooms

2. Prepare this magic fat burning soup the following way -Cut everything into bite-size pieces, and throw it all into a medium pot. Add water until it's fully submerged, and then cover with a lid.

Bring everything to a boil, and leave it there for 10-12 minutes. After, reduce the temperature down to low (simmer) and continue cooking until the vegetables are nice and tender (it usually takes another 10 minutes of simmering).

I've had students lose over 5 pounds in a week just by substituting this exact fat burning soup out for what they normally eat at dinner, but it also makes a great lunch if you're on the go or working and need to resist a fast food run.
